Babbitt Ball

Thank you for attending Babbitt Ball 2022!

Today, more than ever, people are energized about learning the skills to save a life. Our goal of having at least 50 Babbitt Ball attendees sign up for CPR/AED training was almost doubled. Although the final figures are still being tallied, we raise about $30,000 from this years event. Thanks to you, this is an amazing accomplishment!

We are so excited about our new friends who attended their first Babbitt Ball. The entire evening was magical, exciting, and fun.

Please enjoy the event photos!

Walk with Heart

The Walk with Heart is an annual event organized by the JTB Foundation to help raise awareness for sudden cardiac death and support our mission to stop it.

2023 Walk with Heart!

Enjoy the Video of the 2023 Walk With Heart!

Notwithstanding the torrential rainfall, we managed to gather on April 30th in celebration of lives saved from sudden cardiac arrest! Our 17th annual WALK WITH HEART was held inside The Pingry School and raised over $50, 000 dollars towards our efforts to save lives.

Many thanks to all who braved the weather elements to attend the WALK and those that even walked in the rain! A special thanks to our virtual participants who kept us happy by sharing their “sunny” photos.

Enjoy the photos and see you next year!

Walk With Heart 2019 – Pingry Walk With Heart Travels Into Its 13th Year

Enthusiasm for JTB’s Walk With Heart at The Pingry School remained very strong for the 13th year of the event on May 19 as 225 walkers, with family and friends cheering them on, completed a 2-mile brisk hike around school grounds. The spring weather was glorious for the event.

More than $35,000 was raised for JTB’s efforts to distribute Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to schools, parks, and public places and to fund important cardiac research.

Walk With Heart 2018 – Don’t rain on our parade!

Although skies threatened, it didn’t rain on Walk With Heart’s parade

Heavy rains on a Sunday in May forced the Walk With Heart pre-program inside for the first time in 12 years, but the sun came out at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge just before the walk was about to start.

Several hundred walkers, with family and friends cheering them on, left their rain gear behind as they set out on the 2-mile brisk hike around school grounds.  More than $58,000 was raised from the event.

There are always riveting speakers. This year, Mike Papale, a young Connecticut basketball coach who almost died of sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 17, spoke to the crowd. Emergency technique trainers brought test dummies to demonstrate CPR to attendees. There were refreshments and a raffle with exciting prizes.

“Walk Tests Participants Skills”

How good are you at CPR? That’s the question the John Taylor Babbitt Foundation asked of supporters at the annual May Walk With Heart at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge.

For its 11th event, the foundation had walkers enter a competition to test compression skills and touch techniques on test dummies provided by Bob Herzog of V.E. Ralph and Son, Inc. of Kearny, New Jersey. Assisting Herzog was Bill Nauta of Atlantic Ambulance Training.

“This was the first time we’ve ever tried some- thing like this, and it was a smashing success,” noted JoAnne Babbitt, vice president of the JTB Foundation. Quite a few of the walkers and their families entered the competition, she said, and top finishers came away with prizes.

More than 350 people participated in the walk this year. About $67,000 was raised for the organization’s work.

Walk With Heart 2016 Update

“10th Anniversary Celebration”

On the 10th anniversary of John Taylor Babbitt Foundation’s Walk With Heart at The Pingry School in Bernards Township, supporters pulled out all the stops, with 375 people participating – some from as far away as England – and $65,000 raised for the organization’s work.

Among the dignitaries at this important 10th anniversary event was State. Sen. Joseph Vitale from Middlesex County, who has long been involved with efforts to get mandatory Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in schools and parks and get schools to require more extensive physicals for student athletes. He not only joined the walkers but at the ceremony after the event presented the JTB Foundation with a prelamination from both the State Senate and the State Assembly recognizing the organization’s 10 years of service to the community.
